Lighthouse Ecosystem · Board Orientation

Getting your board onto the system

One 45-minute walkthrough, run twice on the same day so nobody has to choose between work and their evening. The midday session is recorded and posted to the portal, so anyone who misses both still has it — and so does every future board member.

Pick one. Same session both times.

Tuesday or Wednesday draws the best attendance.

RECORDED
12:00 – 1:00
Midday · join from your desk over lunch
This one is recorded. If you can only make the evening, you still get the video afterwards.
6:30 – 7:30
Evening · after the working day
Identical content. Live questions, same as the midday run.
Date to confirm:   — pick a Tuesday or Wednesday and the calendar invites go out.

Run of show — 45 minutes

Thirty minutes of walkthrough, fifteen of questions, inside a one-hour slot. Every block is a thing a director can actually do afterwards.

What we cover in the four entities block

The single question every new director asks: who is who, and who owns what.

Eagle Enterprises Consortium, L3Ccoordinator and umbrella
Lighthouse Community Development Corporationhousing and direct services
Rural Veterans Vanguard of Valor Foundationphilanthropy
Guardian Angels Enterprises, L3Cadvocacy and communications

Plus the two divisions that sit inside Eagle Enterprises Consortium and are not separate entities — Net-WIRCing Solutions and M-TOC™. Both ecosystem charts are walked live: the governance view and the service-delivery view.

Subject: Board orientation - 45 minutes, two times to choose from

Directors,

We are running one short orientation to the Lighthouse ecosystem and the tools
the board uses. It takes 45 minutes and we are running it twice on the same day
so nobody has to choose between work and their evening.

    DATE: ____________________
OPTION 1: 12:00 - 1:00 PM (this session will be recorded)
    OPTION 2: 6:30 - 7:30 PM
    ZOOM: ____________________

Come to whichever suits. The content is identical.

What we will cover:
  - The four entities, who does what, and who owns what
  - A live tour of all four websites and the Foundation Library
  - The VI-PAR dashboard and what to look at as a director
  - Where board packets, the calendar and signed documents live
  - 15 minutes of questions. Nothing is too basic.

You do not need to prepare anything. If you cannot make either session, the
midday recording will be posted to the board portal along with these notes.

Reply with which one you are joining so we know roughly who to expect.
One thing worth deciding before the invite goes out. If any director has not yet signed the confidentiality and conflict-of-interest forms, this session is a natural place to walk through them — but the 5 August 2026 board minutes record that those documents are still with legal counsel. Best to confirm they are cleared first, or leave that item out and cover it separately.
